Finn O'Gorman


Finn O’Gorman is a Detroit-based writer, horror specialist, and survivor-turned-showrunner dedicated to exploring the psychology of fear and the mechanics of survival. Their work blends horror analysis, personal narrative, and cinematic storytelling to help creative misfits reclaim agency in the face of “off-script” horrors.

As a fiction writer and creator of The O’Gorman Report—a monthly analog newsletter for creative misfits and horror fans—Finn explores the intersection of fear, storytelling, and personal agency. Finn specializes in dismantling Safe Scripts and transforming horror movie mechanics into practical tools for navigating anxiety, perfectionism, and hyper-vigilance. They are an active member of both the Horror Writers Association (HWA) and the Great Lakes Association of Horror Writers (GLAHW).

Finn lives in the Detroit area with their partner, three children, and two black cats who definitely know where the bodies are buried.
